Cellectis et MabQuest annoncent un partenariat en immunothérapie concernant une nouvelle classe d’anticorps monoclonaux anti-PD-1

Cellectis, société biopharmaceutique spécialisée dans le développement d’immunothérapies fondées sur les cellules CAR-T ingénierées (UCART), et MabQuest SA, une société de biotechnologie spécialisée dans le développement d’interventions thérapeutiques à base d’anticorps, annoncent aujourd’hui avoir conclu un accord de recherche et de licence portant sur le développement d’une nouvelle classe d’anticorps monoclonaux ciblant le récepteur PD-1.

Ces anticorps anti-PD-1 ont pour effet de restaurer les fonctions des lymphocytes T épuisés par une stimulation antigénique chronique, grâce à un nouveau mode d’action. Cette nouvelle classe d’anticorps diffère des anticorps monoclonaux (AcM) anti-PD-1 actuellement approuvés car ils n’inhibent pas l’interaction PD-1-PD-L1. Ces AcM anti-PD-1 sont potentiellement utiles dans plusieurs indications en immunothérapie, notamment pour traiter différents cancers. Cellectis a l’intention d’utiliser ces anticorps anti-PD-1 en association avec ses produits candidats ingénierés UCART ainsi que comme agent en monothérapie ou en association avec d’autres médicaments d’immunothérapie déjà approuvés.
